Our core values are very simple and are inspired by the greatest and the second greatest commandment where Jesus says in Matthew 22:37-39:
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.”
UPWARD - To live upward by loving God fully
Jesus made it a priority to cultivate intimacy with the Father. Based on John 5:19, which is when Jesus said that “I only do what I see the Father doing,” we believe that all fruitfulness comes out of our intimacy with the Father.
INWARD - To live inward by loving yourself correctly
To live inward means to have a better understanding of your true identity in Christ and to tend to the inner life that can oftentimes go unnoticed. It means to take responsibility for your own spiritual formation and growth and to allow the Holy Spirit to do a deep inner work in you.
OUTWARD - To live outward by loving others compassionately
As followers of Jesus, we believe that being transformed into the image of Christ is for the glory of God and also for the sake of others, which translates to loving the people around us and sharing with them the good news.
Our hope is that as you live upward and cultivate intimacy with the Father, that that will lead you to live inward as you tend to your inner life and allow the Holy Spirit to do a transformative work within you, which will then free you to live outward by loving others with great compassion.
